As her fingers traced the water’s surface, curious fish dart to and fro and the lilies that sit on the surface bloom in response as a curious frog tilts his head before leaping into the water and swimming away. The forest witch places her offering of freesia and tea leaves as she whispers her gratitude to the river, feeling its magic resonate within her. With a final blessing, she rises and watches her offering drift away, carrying the warmth of the morning sun with it and spreading it through the lands. With the forest's energy pulsing through her, she returns to her cottage, renewed and serene.
