As she nestles herself among the massive roots of the tree, she prepares her fragrant offering of the honeyed pine needles by adding an assortment of earthy herbs, zesty citrus slices and zingy peppercorns from her basket. As she breathes in the early morning air and centers herself she can hear and feel the energy of the forest around her, from the silent observance of the various creatures, to the whispering words of the trees around her.
