When the forest falls quiet and the lanterns at the shrine burn low, the Midnight Kitsune is said to appear where wild berries grow thick beneath the trees. Ancient, clever and known for slipping between swirling black currant shadows and glowing citrus moonlight alike.
In her wake, exotic passionfruit sparks drifts through the forest like foxfire, while crushed green herbs release their scent beneath silent paws.
Most never see her clearly, only a flicker of movement between the trees… and once, just for a heartbeat, a shimmer of nine silver tails fanning through the darkness. By the time the forest grows still again, she is already gone, leaving only the lingering warmth of dark musk and tonka drifting through the midnight air.
